PEB Commentaries
The Permanent Editorial Board for the UCC ("PEB") is charged with monitoring case law, statutory developments, and commercial practices to detect divisions of authority or other problems affecting commercial law and practice, preparing and publishing supplemental commentaries and reports to address these problems, and recommending other methods for resolving the problems if needed.
In accordance with that charge, the PEB has issued several commentaries and reports relating to Article 9 and secured transactions. Copies of the commentaries and reports are available on the PEB's web site: PEB. Of particular note is a draft report (dated November 2023) on choice-of-Law issues that are likely to arise as until the 2022 UCC Amendments (particularly, the amendments to Article 9 and the adoption of new Article 12) are effective in all domestic jurisdictions.
